The Sunshine February 11, 2009 Man, I remember these songs, good stuff for the ear here. I first got hooked on Mr. Ayers stuff back in the day when he did a version of the theme from M.A.S.H. It was so cool and laid back. I started listening to more and more. Roy has some really good stuff on here, definitely worthy of repeat listening. Check this disc out!! Contrary to some statements about his music. I would put him as the Co-Godfather of Acid Jazz. Right next to Sun Ra.

The album is good, although there are really only two songs worht listening to. Everybody Loves the Sunshine being the best.
The order took ages... i mean weeks!
and when it did arrive it was in a huge cardboard box, totally not needed for one CD. Idiots!

Spring of 1976, my senior year of High School, is when I remember this album breaking out! The song? "The Golden Rod!" I wore the disc out that summer..."The Third Eye, Hey, Uh, What you say, Come On" are other stand-outs on what was a great album! Whenever I play it, I'm (almost) a teenager again...Boy, do I miss those days! Five stars!!

This album is a long time favourite of mine. The title track "Everybody loves the sunshine" is a magic carpet ride to Paradise. you'll be getting down in this sunshine ...."just Bee's and things and flowers"....each track has something new to offer, phat and funky "tongue power","you and me my love". the track "Keep on walking" is a blissout. You could start a religeon with these Album tracks! "Roy's temple of sonic third eye expansion! " This album emanated by Ayers & friend's in 1976 is still potent magic , try it and take the journey. This album will lift your consciousness and lighten your moods.! Side Affects: Not adddictive but known to become habit forming.
