Yeah it's good February 6, 2009 This is my favorite Oldham live record because the song selection is terrific. Don't love the Hagerty-pastiche stuff as much (I just want to hear all the songs he made the collages from) but it's all good. Underrated
great show February 2, 2009 I really love this live album... probably because I was there... I'm actually writing this review because no one on the internet seems to be able to give specific show information for this recording so I'm setting the record straight... This show was at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur, California on Oct. 28th, 2006.
good stuff for obsessives October 6, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
if you are like me, then anything with will oldham's name on it, or "bonnie prince billy," is essential. import, vinyl, whatever, i have to have it. this is one i wouldn't necessarily recommend to my non-obsessive friends, but it's a worthy listen once in a while. interesting renditions of these songs, a good companion to wai notes if you can track down a copy.
