Customer Reviews:
Outstanding Record September 23, 2005 Luciano has made several terrific records, and this is one of his finest. A spiritual focus is fairly common in reggae, of course, but there are few artists who move beyond the cliches, who really have something of their own to say. The spiritual focus is present in much of Luciano's music, following his discovery of Rastafari, but there is a seriousness and maturity to the songs here that brings his music to that rare level. In that sense, this may be Luciano's first truly great record.
Highlights here include a terrific rendition of Peter Tosh's classic anthem "Legalise It"; "Patiently",an extraordinary setting of the Beatutides (Matthew 5); a heartfelt treatment of "Rivers of Babylon"; and the closing "Amen", which transforms an old "Negro spiritual" to a reggae classic. The scope of this record is simply astonishing, as Luciano draws on influences well outside the norm for "conscious" reggae.

Luciano is the most important reggae singer since Bob Marley. This album proves he is at the peak of his career. Real instruments were used here, and the sound is quite different from his other release of 2001, A New Day, which uses computerized riddims. Buy this record if you want spiritual, melodic, roots reggae, held together by a tight drum and bass. Track 2 "Call On Yaweh" really stands out. Also check out Luciano's main influence, Dennis Brown (70's material)

Belive me people, this is truly a sweet cd. Arguably Luciano at his best. No Boom tunes but a very mellow relaxing peaceful mindset. Wicked version of the Tosh classic, gotta say I prefer the messenger's version! ....Nevamind!!!... Bless

I look for righteous music that I can enjoy with my children. This is perfect. Social and religious lyrics reign supreme.Production is top-notched and Luciano's singing is serene and smooth. He's quickly becoming one of reggae's greatest artists. Buy this CD if you are a lover of positive reggae music.
