a good device July 6, 2009 this product is very easy to use. i strongly believe that amazon.com is the best online shopping website. they gave me the product in a perfect condition. thanks..
aesthetics and user friendly, like all macs, but sound quality sucks July 5, 2009 Four buttons in one wheel, how much simpler can it get? well if you've been making it a point in your life to sanction macs like i have, youll find that mp3 players made in korea with ten buttons on them are just as easy and have 10 times better sound quality. i had an iAudio 7 and it worked great, was smaller and easier to hold, and had great sound quality. same with the Rio Karma i had. even tho iTunes (which comes to no surprise is the only program that will read iPods) has a Volume Leveling option on all your songs, it doesnt work. youll be turning your stereo all the way up for some songs, then itll blow your ears out the next one that comes on. or some songs its all crackly like you have blown speakers. in that case you have to turn the volume all the way down and back up again. so user friendly. i think Mac needs to realize the difference of turning up the Gain and turning up the VOLUME. not to mention on this particular iPod, you cant charge the ipod and plug in the headphone jack at the same time, because they ignorantly put the jacks on the same end instead of using all the space they have on top for the headphones. so in the end, i guess i conformed and took the hit for it, because ipod accessories are everywhere and everyone has them, so its convenient to bring them to gatherings, cuz youll just never escape those little Mac-crazy anti-Gates youth out there.
LOVE IT !!!! July 4, 2009 Am very happy with my pod. I am a bit late in the tech, this is my first MP3 device, but it is easy to use and love the purple shade. I would and will recommend this product.
This is the worst iPod ever July 4, 2009 I am a huge fan of iPods, having owned nearly every single model since 2005. This is the worst of them all, by far. The battery lasts not even half as long as the previous model. So YES, I get twice as much space for music and media - but I have HALF AS MUCH TIME TO LISTEN TO THAT MEDIA. What's the point in having twice as much material to listen to, but only a fraction of the battery capacity to actually listen to it? This ipod only lasts about 3.5 hours max - and that's without video, people. The last generation lasted 7-9 hours. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined the battery life on a NEWER model to be inferior to an older one.
Plus, old accessories do not work with this model. I want my money back. Apple, you should be ashamed.
Battery does not last long July 4, 2009 The iPod is fine. However, the battery does not last long as specified by Apple. It can only last less than 2 hours in playing video.
