Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
The legendary reggae artist Eek-A-Mouse is back with a brand new album called "Eeksperience". The album contains a rock flavor while still sticking to it's original reggae roots and Eek's trademark vocals.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Good stuff   August 28, 2006
Could not agree more with the reviewer from Hawaii. Actually I'm kinda new to Mr.Mouse's opus and I like his more recent work much more than his older works. Stuff he'd done in the past seems somewhat dated to me and not too original. Screamin' Jay Hawkins used to do that (similar unorthodox approach to music) back in the 50's and 60's and still sounds great today. Mouse didn't stand the test of time that well, as far as I'm concerned. I like this album a lot as well as his recent Mouse Gone Wild (2004). Get both and have a ball!

5 out of 5 stars THE MOUSE KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER !!!   March 5, 2003

If you like eek a mouse even a little, don't hesitate to buy this cd because it is quite possibly his best work yet. the mouse keeps getting better and better. the band is tight and this could even go as a dub album, but throw in the mouse and you have a cd that will not leave the player. this is a well thought out, reflective and powerful album. the tracks that the last reviewer thought were weak, i don't know what to say to that guy (although 4 stars is a fair rating) those are great, great songs. respect the progressions of the artist, and this
mouse has progressed !!!buy this one, and catch him live at any cost! seriously.

4 out of 5 stars Mouse moves a bit farther from his roots, but sounds great   December 31, 2001

Eek a Mouse seems to be slowly shying away from his trademark biddy beng beng sound with each new release. He has opted for a deeper vocal sound as opposed to his usual higher pitched vocals. This may be a result of aging or just his preference.

That is not to say he is doing anything wrong. He will never be able to completely hide his unique voice and I'm sure he would never do that.

This release has a few very solid tracks to include Rude Boy Jamaican, Mouse in the House and a very hardcore and solid dancehall track Crack Cocaine and Marijuana. A couple songs I could do without are Don't Treat Her Bad (from Black Cowboy), the boring Detoxify, and the bit less boring Keep a Good Mouse Down. Prop 215 can go either way; you will love or hate it. I love it. It reminds me of a typical swing song (I hope that's the genre of which I am thinking). It is a fun song nevertheless.

Overall it is a decent release with the 3 songs I mentioned carrying it far. Oh almost forgot Sensi Party (Four 20 Band Featuring Eek A Mouse).Like it reads...it is only partially eek a mouse, but the 420 Band do a nice job of recreating Eeks Sensi Party. Sounds a bit like the Long Beach Dub Allstars. Also I think this is the only song where the biddy beng beng comes out.

Might want to pick this one up soon before it suffers the same fate that Black Cowboy suffered and goes out of print. And don't forget to keep listening for the nice little A Capella at the end of the disc. Very cool and very Eek a mouse.
