Heatwave's cd "To Hot To Handle" April 5, 2009
I AM a super soul sister and much of it relates to my wonderous rearing years listening to that funky music in the '70's.Heatwave's "To Hot To Handle" is a prime example of my roots !!!! Thanks for stirring my soul !

The track "Boogie Nights" is a classic, but the rest of the album doesn't quite measure up. Most of it is too slow for my taste and I wouldn't really call it a Disco essential. The sound quality is a bit muffled as well; a digitally remastered reissue would help a lot.

This is simply one of the most memorable albums of the 70's, period. It also showed the great range of the band, from tender ballads to smokin' dance numbers, with the incredible vocals of Johnny Wilder as the active ingredient. This album came out when I was a teenager and this great music has never really left me.
Heatwave's best work August 9, 2007
This is the best album Heatwave did with classice songs like Always and Forever. A classic album of the 1970's , mix of disco and cool music. Classic disco/r&b album
