Fantastic! October 15, 2003 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is BY FAR the BEST album of 2003. The explosive first tracks wind down a bit in the middle of the album for some more suddle, pretty music and JET right back up to the max in the end. This album is a MUST BUY for any music lover and will make you want say 'Rollover DJ' and crank up the volume to 11.
Fantastic! October 15, 2003 I LOVE this album. It's by far the best album of 2003. Jet is a quartet out of Australia with a musical style all their own. They're style ranges from song to song, making this album never get old! This is a MUST HAVE for anybody who likes music, and is willing to try something new.
Great and Awsome CD! October 15, 2003 I absolutely love this CD! I read different bad reviews with this band for this CD but all the bad they could say was that it was old rock n' roll... well, yeah! Rock n' Roll rocks and for ever will rock on! Why not talk about how great they play, the energy they bring and the lyricis of the songs? Not just anyone can be compaired to the Rolling Stones like these dudes were! If you don't believe me, buy it, play it loud on the freeway and tell me it won't make feel free!!! So rock on Jet!
BUY IT!! October 15, 2003 The jet album is a fast driving rage up crazy adventure from start to finish. A must have for every music fan. Jet sticks to their roots and brings their own elements to the game. This isnt that crappy degraded punk nonsense this is MUSIC!
Great CD with no originality October 14, 2003 4 out of 11 found this review helpful
No originality stems from the rockin sounds of Jet, not that much of todays music doesn't have huge influences of the past but hardly are they as evident as what is heard from Get Born. Rip offs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Kinks, and even The Supremes can be heard throughout the cd with similar riffs from Led Zepplin and other classic rock seeping into your ears. Even one of the songs is called rollover D.J.( as in rollover beethoven). Don't get me wrong, they are all new songs with totally different lyrics, just with tons of old references from the past. Conclusion:great cd, just give credit where it is due.
