LOVE March 23, 2009 The first half of this CD is awesome! Download Silver Springs by Patty Loveless, "Lay Down Sally" and "Mama Don't Let Your Babies" by Lucinda Williams! Great songs and instrumentals.
A fantastic album January 18, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Even after hearing the demo cuts on Imus' radio program, I had no idea how great this album was. It's everything he said about it.
I particularly enjoy "Silver Springs" by Patty Loveless", "You Better Move On" by Levon Helms, "What Happened" by Bekka Bramlett and, ESPECIALLY, "Life Has Its Little Ups and Downs" by Raul Malo.
I'll buy the next Imus Ranch Record as soon as it's released!
Imus Ranch Record Review January 18, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great versions of classic songs by veteran singers. Just goes to show that great songs can live forever. Real music, real deal as opposed to today's synthetic sounds that are forgotton three weeks after they're recorded. We need more of this.
Cause for Celebrity January 18, 2009 Imus and his co-producers have pulled together some of the best Artists in the Country to perform, in some cases, the Hit of another Artist. The result is nothing short of wonderful. The fringe benefit of buying this Album is that it supports The Imus Ranch for kids with Cancer. Imus should do a Volume II.
Country Western music for real.. January 13, 2009 If you like country western music, then this is the real deal. No pop crap here. Gritty is the best way to describe the music on this album. I immediately ripped it to my Itunes in case I lose or damage the cd.
