Flack stole my trousers April 30, 2009 Hi when Flack made love with me long ago in 1988, she stole my pants. She dessapeared form the room and she had stolen my wallet, trousers, and slip. Now I have to write that she had to steal me and made this record that year, she's such a bad princess and made me think i was gonna die because I had offered her some sex to go on the bed and keep on lovin ich other.
No, it's a lie, I was only joking. I respect her as a singer and just waned to make another type of review. Any antihelpul votes are welcomed. Nanay.
feel the same way. January 27, 2008 I feel the same way about roberta flack ouiet fire CD as I do about the chapter two cd.
"WE ONLY GET A VOICE LIKE THIS ONCE EVERY 10 or 20 YEARS" November 13, 2007 Roberta Flack is one of those voices. Although a solid Album throughtout, it took the world a while to warm up to Roberta's talents. Along with the album "First Take", "Chapter Two" was also alongside Curtis Mayfield's "Superfly" & Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" albums in several houses in the early 70's. "Chapter Two" was bought back in the day for the Key Tracks: "Reverend Lee", "Let It Be Me" & "Gone Away". Although these recordings are over 35 years old this project STILL Ranks with several current albums out now!!! Once the Single "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" took off from Her 1969 Debut Release "First Take" (Due to the 1972 movie "Play Misty For Me") the Single zoomed to the #1 spot (In 1972!)...The world knew about Roberta Flack. A Must Have for ANYONE starting a Classic Soul Albums of the 70's collection.
Chapter Two April 10, 2007 Get this before it goes out of print. Roberta Flack is an artist who personafies excellence. Such a beautiful "touch" on the piano and velvety smoothness in her voice. She is truly one of the best entertainers ever. My personal favorite, next to Sam Cooke. I wish this CD were a DVD.
fine as wine... January 28, 2007 This woman's voice has convinced me that there is a God...it could not have happened by chance.
When I was 15 a friend played side one of this almost everyday, I was in a summer enrichment program (Upward Bound)at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and to this day when I hear 'Do what you gotta do' I melt. I'm still in search of that baffled dream so I can come on back and see her when I can...what a woman, what a voice, what a soul...we are blessed to have ears to hear and hearts to feel...go on 'Berta
