4 out of 5 stars GREAT DEBUT FROM SHAI!   October 8, 2008
I NEVER EVEN HEARD ABOUT THIS CD UNTIL I LOOKED UP SHAI ON AMAZON. THIS IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM. THE CD IS SMOOTH. IT'S FULL OF SLOW SONGS(BALLADS)

I WISH SHAI WOULD GET BACK TOGETHER. THEY ARE WHAT A R&B GROUP SHOULD BE.IF YOU LIKE THEIR OTHER CDs, you'll love this one!
IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE CD,BUY IT!

5 out of 5 stars Amazing!   January 13, 2006

Ok This Is Straight up 5/5! No Question About It...
I'm gonna rate all the tracks:

10 = rare track, out of this world
9 = simply outstanding
8 = very good
7 = decent. good.
6 = average
5 = below average
4 = don't listen to this. lol.

1. Come With Me: 10/10 > straight up classic tune.

2. During The Storm: 8.5/10 > amazing harmony throughout the tune.

3. I Don't Wanna Be Alone: 9/10 > this song keeps up the album's great start.

4. Mr. Turn U Out 10/10 > Yet another masterpiece... one of Shai's very best. The beats and flow is so mesmerising.

5. Concert A (The Hidden One): This is an interlude... it kind of breaks the smooth flow that was created on the first four tracks.

6. Falling: 8.5/10 > Great vocals on this one. Very good track. You might need a few listens to this before you get into it though. It's very slow.

7. Planet Solitude: lol this is another interlude. It's kind of a wierd choice to put this into the album. Breaks the flow again.

8. Did You Know: 6.5/10 > This is an average song. Not a great up-tempo effort.

9. To Get To Know You: 7/10 > A decent up-tempo effort. Not too good though.

10. Let's Go Back: 5/10 > Hmmm the album's up-tempo songs by now seem to be dragging the album down. This is a poor effort. The rapping is weak: weak flow.

11. Will I Find Someone: 7/10 > Just a decent track. Nothing much more.

12. '95': 5/10 > Another weak up-tempo effort. Sigh.

13. The Place Where You Belong: 10/10 > Hell yeah you get hit big at the end of the album. This is another masterpiece. Finally an effort at up-tempo has worked. What a tune! Everything about this song is amazing. Great harmony.

14. If I Gave (A Confession Of Hope): They show their vocal arrangement in this short tune. Great great harmony. Not quite as good as Boyz II Men's harmony.

Even though the uptempo songs dont really work, the slow jams raise the roof and the final uptempo song (The Place Where You Belong) only further cements the album's greatness.

3 out of 5 stars Good follow up to an amazing debut   May 6, 2005

With their second CD, Shai proved they weren't try to be a one hit CD group. The CD followed pretty much the same format of the CD,ballads dominate the first half of the CD while the second part is dominated by deep bass grooves. I Don't Wanna Be Alone, Come With Me and Mr. Turn U Out may not be as strong as "If I Ever Fall in Love or Comforter but they still get the mood set. The only stand out up tempo track is The Place Where You Belong, all in all though the ballads are what make the CD work.

I simply can't say enough about this cd. If you like the first album, you will definitely fall in love with "BlackFace"!!! "Mr. Turn U out", "Come with Me", "Don't want to be alone" are some of the wonderful songs listed for Lovers on this album. This album is calm, soothing, and relaxing to your ears and soul. Please don't pass this album up, because you are surely missing out[!!!]
