The JVC XA-SD1 is a SD player which can decode AAC and MP3 files. With the stamp-size 64mb SD card, sixty-four minutes of music can be downloaded. With the included USB reader/writer connection cord, the downloading process from computer to player is a quick process. The player uses Microsoft Windows technology; the included CD-ROM supports Microsoft Windows 98/98 2nd ed, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The player itself comes with many impressive features. The hyper-bass sound switch allows for extra bass, a nice feature if you aren't satisfied with your headphone's bass quality. Speaking of headphones, the XA-SD1 headphones come with a three-key headphone remote control. Between this headphone remote control and the included extension cord, it is easy to listen to the player from across the room. With auto power-off, precious battery life is conserved, even when you forget to turn off the player. The player runs on both alkaline and rechargeable batteries, and in addition to the in-the-player battery case, there is also an included external battery case, a nice feature for those long international plane trips. Finally, JVC provides rechargeable batteries and a battery charger to allow for easy recharging possibilities.
This is a small player, measuring only 2 1/8" x 1 3/16" x 2 9/16", and weighing a mere 8.3 ounces (without batteries.) With this small size, the skip-free player is perfect for commuters, students, and athletes. Don't forget to download the latest software from the JVC site.
