 Good..for a 20 year old product... May 20, 2009
I got this secondhand from a friend, and i know for a fact it was bought in the mid 1980's. Amazing that it's still being sold. Rather a simple product, sucks up a butload of power, mono sound, the sound is kind of weird sounding on music, but its probably the sheer age of the thing. If it's lasted 20 years with little care given to it, i think it's a good buy.
 Not great for classroom use February 28, 2009
I bought this to play some cassettes for use in my French class- the volume is not loud enough for a whole room to hear well. Otherwise, works fine.

I sent this item to my mother who wants a shoebox recorder & she received a headset type cassette player. She is out of town and now I have to travel there & return it since she can not do it. She was very upset. Once I return it I won't use this person again.
