| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Although the DB2 was originally designed for outdoor use, it has quickly become one of the most popular indoor antennas due to its small size and extraordinary gain. The bowtie design provides strong gain across the entire UHF spectrum and it functions incredibly well in areas where a low profile antenna is required.

Great antenna for the price! July 5, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
So far the antenna has been great. We have satelite also, a bad storm came through the other week and we lost satelite signal but the antenna signal stayed strong and steady. I have already encouraged 2 friends to look into the antenna. In our area, the antenna almost makes it worth disconnecting the satelite. We get so many HD channels with the antenna, the satelite seems like a waste of money.
Antennas Didrect DB2 Multidirectional HDTV Antenna July 4, 2009 I bought this antenna to use for local HDTV stations. I mounted it in the attic of a single story house. I live less than 12 miles, as the crow flies, from the TV station antennas. Using DircTV's signal strength indication in the DirecTV receiver, all of the five stations available have a signal strength greater than 95. I like using an antenna in the attic that does not require an amplifier. The temperature in the attic can be high in my area which stresses the electronics. I'm very satisfied with the antenna for my application.
100% Signal on my Four Main Networks (16 miles away) July 3, 2009 First, let me say that I have tried 3 different indoor and indoor/outdoor combination antennas (regular RCA rabbit ears, the best reviewed RadioShack indoor antenna, and the Phillips MANT940...they all didn't work)to try and get reception on my main HDTV downstairs and through the house from where the signals should be coming from. I recommend heading to antennaweb.org to figure out where your main signals come from. It will also tell you whether or not you need a single direction or multi-directional antenna. I probably could have gotten by with a single direction, but the price on this was cheap and the reviews were good.
I got sick of paying Dish $6 a month for my locals not in HD so I got this antenna. I just finished hooking it up yesterday. I mounted it in the attic of my garage on the side of the house that faces Lexington (biggest city where I live...about 16 miles to signals). Supposedly according to the information they sent with it, attic mounting can cut your signal by 30%. But I'm still getting 100% on my four main local channels and 88% is the lowest I get on the not so worthwhile channels. I didn't even really have to spend much time messing around with the aiming of it, pretty much just put it up and mounted it. I bought the bracket with it, but I ended up just drilling a couple of holes in the closest truss to the front of the garage.
I would definitely recommend this antenna to anyone trying to get a good HDTV signal. Most stations have switched to UHF band for the digital transition, some still have VHF, one of the locals that I get on this antenna is VHF, so it does work for both bands. Very easy to mount, and I can just imagine what kind of stations I'd get if I put it on the roof.
Fabulous Antenna July 3, 2009 This antenna does an outstanding job of pulling in digital television stations from near and far. It is the third antenna I tried with our HDTV and it is by far the best. Our old rabbit ears did alright, but they needed constant adjustment and the cable final broke off because of all the movement. I then tried a boosted antenna that was less successful at pulling in stations. The DB2 performed much better and without boosting. We are receiving more than 35 stations, including several from Baltimore which is 40 miles away. Moreover, the DB2 is compact enough to fit out of the way behind our HDTV set on our wall unit/bookshelf. It would probably even perform better if we installed it on our roof, but it was so simple to just place it behind out television.

Good for UHF. Not good for VHF. But not yet clear if anything will work ( its a 2nd floor NYC apartment).
